Hurrah the Arthurian Company
words and music: Padraig Ruad O'Maolagain
Now listen as I tell a tale of warriors brave and true
Although our band was small we swore each man would count for two
We came in answer without pause to Ansteorra's call
To War against Trimaris and to see our foemen fall
Refrain:
Elfsea! Elfsea! Her people proudly call
Hurrah the Arthurian Company, heroes one and all
Across a thousand years and more, we gathered to the fray
On a dusty battlefield deep in Meridies
With Centurion Airaklee Wolf, our leader, strong and bold
Bearing forth our banner proud of blue and black and gold
From early Roman France did come this Merovingian
First among us all to lead this gallant warrior band
Refrain:
Sir Galen is a dauntless knight, from Bristol forth he came
To prove his honor on the field for Ansteorra's fame
And Mistress Stella Silvana, with arm so true and hale
A warrior Celt whose might made many an adversary pale
From the Highlands Daniel came, out of the Stewart Clan
And showed an Ansteorran Scot's worth any two foemen
Refrain:
Conor na Mara left the shores of the fair green land of Eire
To teach our honored enemy of Ansteorran fire
And Alessandra Desiderio, Italia's surest bow
She slew at will those she chose among the gathered foe
Scotsman Feargus MacKenna, in his arms the strength of two
To come within his bowshot brought many a man to doom
Refrain:
To swell our ranks David de Rock, a Scotsman stanch and grand
Against him broke the enemy as he did make his stand
And Llew Mailin with untamed sword came from the Scottish Glens
Fearsome as before him grew the massing of dead men
Dermont of House Blue Rose, a Roman Briton he
Before his sword and armor bright the routed foemen flee
Refrain:
Padraig Ruad O'Maolagain, a Celt with maddened eye
A warrior bard of Ireland, no quarter was his cry
And Armand Dragonetti, the Italian dragon's flame
Though men might brave his heat, they would perish just the same
Moerick von Altenberg, our German warrior brave
The last sight many foemen saw before they reached the grave
Refrain (twice):
